CLEANING/WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Use a vacuum cleaner for routine cleaning of your shag rug (brooms are not recommended);
- To wash, wet the surface of the rug and use diluted neutral liquid detergent;
- Do not soak the rug. Rinse thoroughly to make sure no soap residue is left, and avoid hanging the rug to dry on a clothesline to prevent creasing;
- To remove excess water, lay the rug flat and gently run a squeegee over the surface;
- For drying, look for a shaded area where you can leave it stretched out flat on smooth surfaces that will not crease it (unlike a clothesline).
- Do not expose the rug to the sun, as its base contains latex dots that prevent slipping. These dots may degrade if exposed to sunlight.
- Can you wash it in a machine? Yes, but manual washing is recommended.
